Why aren’t there more legacy companies in Africa owned by Africans? The continent is rich in resources, culture, and talent, yet so many businesses struggle to endure and thrive across generations. This was the question that I kept asking myself and the question that got my curious mind to research about companies who have attained this status and what they did differently. It became clear to me that one of the barriers to long-lasting success was the lack of cross-border and cross-sector collaboration; a concept that, while emerging, had yet to fully take root across Africa.

My love for travel and my passion for establishing strong, meaningful relationships across the continent fueled my ambition to become a connector. I envisioned a network where businesses, no matter their size or industry, could find trusted partners in other African countries to help them scale and thrive. This is how Hackapath was born. A company dedicated to bridging the gaps between sectors and nations, ensuring that African businesses can grow expansively and sustainably.

One of the first challenges I tackled was the difficulty in finding reliable partners quickly and efficiently. Businesses needed partners they could trust, partners who would not only understand their vision but also enhance it. I realized that there was a need for a platform that could facilitate these connections, vetting and matching partners to ensure quality and trustworthiness. Hackapath became that solution. As we celebrate our anniversary, I am proud of how far we’ve come. But more than that, I am excited about the future. At Hackapath, we envision a world where African businesses navigate growth with ease, achieving legacy status that endures through generations. Our mission is clear: to propel success through strategic partnerships and ecosystem preservation.

Hackapath isn’t just a company — it’s a movement towards a stronger, more connected Africa, where businesses can thrive beyond borders and sectors. Together, we are building legacies that will stand the test of time.
